What is the PRC-5 Adapter?
This two piece adapter set is available for purchase through PRC and is an alternative to the QRM or QRM2.
The PRC-5 is an adapter that attaches the device to a wheelchair bar or desktop mount.
This adapter should be ordered as two pieces: PRC-5 and TUSB.
The PRC-5 bracket is attached to the already existing wheelchair plate or molded grooves on the back of the device, with the silver clip gripping the top of the plate or battery door. The steel clip is then tightened down via the clip screw and 3/32 Allen Key included. Once attached, there is no need to remove the PRC-5 bracket unless your device needs servicing.
Note: When the PRC-5 bracket is attached to the bottom of a device, the device may rock when sitting flat on a table.
Once mounted, the AAC device is easily removed from the bar by pulling the pin on the TUSB and lifting up on the device.
