Lesson 4: Choose a Spelling Keyboard

The Essence Tutorial contains more than 20 lessons. "Choose a Spelling Keyboard" is the fourth lesson. In the first lesson, "Welcome to Essence," you selected either a 60-location or an 84-location keyboard. You also have choices in the appearance and contents of the keyboard. This lesson will help you explore the available keyboards and choose the one you prefer.
On the Directory page you will see a green typewriter labeled KEYBOARD OPTIONS. You have already seen the simple spelling page that is in QWERTY order similar to a computer keyboard. You can explore the other keyboards in your device, and then choose the one that is best for you.
If you select the blue #1 key, you will hear instructions on how to use this page. If you select the orange #2 key, then the keyboard you select next becomes set as your spelling keyboard for Essence.
Navigating back: When you look at a Spelling page, and you want to come back to the options page, find the OK key at the bottom right. This OK key on a spell page will allow you to return here to the options page.
15 Location Spell: On the 15-location spell page, there is no OK key. Navigate back here by selecting MESSAGES, and then DIRECTORY, then KEYBOARD OPTIONS.
