How do I Change my Spelling or Storing Keyboard?

In the User Area Menu User Area menu in the Toolbox. you can customize what spelling pages you wish to use as your Spelling and Storing Keyboards.

Spelling and Storing Keyboards highlighted.

The Spelling Keyboard option defines your Spelling page. Depending on what overlay you are using determines what the default spelling keyboard is.  Our example is using the Unity 60 Sequenced, so our Spelling Keyboard is set to User Define and using the 60 Spell Page.

If you select User Defined under Spelling Keyboard, you will see a yellow box telling you what your current Spelling page is.  This box will also ask you if you wish to change the current spelling page assignment. If you select YES the Pages menu will appear. Select the spelling page you want to use.

Now if you select the User Defined key again, you will see your new Spelling Assignment.  If this is correct, select NO.  If you want to selected a different Spelling Page, select YES and pick a different spelling page.

Now if you select GO TO SPELL Go to Spell key in the Toolbox, you will see the spelling page you selected.

SP AEIOU Spelling page changed.

Note:   If you select GO TO SPELL in the Toolbox or have any keys programmed as the GO TO SPELL tool, this will take you to the User Defined spelling page. If you select the ABC key on your Unity overlay, you will see a spelling page that has been designed to go with the overlay you are using.

IMPORTANT NOTE:   Your STORING keyboard is similar to your SPELLING keyboard although your STORING keyboard is defaulted to QWERTY.  The QWERTY keyboard does contain valuable tools for storing functions, such as the Insert Tool, Page Link and Activity Link tools.  Most Spelling Keyboards do not contain these tools so these keyboards cannot be used to store tools, therefore it is not recommended that the STORING keyboard NOT be changed.
