What has changed from ECO-14 to ECO2?
ECO2 has many added new features. Performance is one of the main changes. The ECO2 comes standard with a 1 GHz Processor for 3X more speed and power. 1 GB RAM is also standard in the ECO2 although 2 GB RAM is available for high-end users for an additional $475.00 at time of purchase.
The ECO2 comes with the standard 1 GB RAM, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 60GB Solid State Drive.
The new ECO2 comes with the base operating system of Windows XP which is the same as the ECO-14. Windows XP can be used within ECO2 when Integrated Mode is purchased for the device. Integrated Mode can be activiated either at the time of purchase or at a late date.
Upgraded Bluetooth capability for use with cell phone and stereo speakers.
Built in WiFi module (additional cost at time of purchase or after)
Ethernet Port for direct connection to the Internet
Hot Swappable Battery Pack to allow even longer usage.
Additional Battery and Charger purchase now available through PRC.
Quieter, Improved Cooling Fan.
Solid State Disk Drive has no moving parts which makes it less fragile than hard disks.

Yes, you can upgrade your current ECO-14 to an ECO2 cost $2995.00 plus shipping
Yes, update your current ECO-14 to connect to the ECOpoint. cost $150.00 plus shipping
(price does not include ECOpoint module)
For all upgrades, your ECO14 device must be returned to PRC Technical Service (1-800-262-1990) with a Call Number set up for the upgrade prior to shipping the unit. The customer will also be responsible for shipping cost both ways. Service loaners will not be available for these modifications.
