When to Use Internal or External Computer Settings in ECO2

What is the difference between Internal and External Destination in the Output Menu?

If you are using the Integrated side or Windows within the ECO this is considered your Internal Computer Destination.

Select INTERNAL if you are using the ECO's internal computer.  Make sure Output is set to ON

This shows the Output turned on and set to Internal.

If you are connecting to an IBM or MAC computer via a USB Cable or Bluetooth Adapter, you will set your Output Destination to External.

Select EXTERNAL if you are want to connect to an external computer for computer emulation.

Make sure Output is set to ON

This shows the Output turned on and set to USB.

Host Computer Type

If you are sending information to an external computer, select the kind of computer that will receive the information, MAC or IBM.

Keyboard Layout

This should be set to US.  Any other settings may cause unknown characters to appear on your computer work area.

If you are using the internal computer, you will not have this option.
