Changing a Mid-Sequence Icon/Label in the ECO
This feature allows you to label keys and change icons within a sequence. Although it is called Mid-Sequence Category, you can use it in sequences of any length.
Let’s look at another specific example using the Unity 144 available in an ECO device.
All FOOD vocabulary starts with the
and a second Core icon represents a sub-category. So, the following examples show five categories of FOOD.

Using Mid-Sequence Category, it is possible to add a label to the second icon in the sequence.

You can also add a category label to the first icon of a sequence.

Finally, the Mid-Sequence Category feature lets you change the icon.
Tools for Mid-Sequence Category functions are located in the Feedback menu.
Here you can adjust two settings that will effect the icon and labels in mid-sequence.
The default setting for Mid-Sequence Categories is set to ON.
The default setting for First Categories is OFF. When turned ON, you will have labels on your first icons on your core page.

The above is an example of Core Vocabulary when First Categories is turned ON.

The above is an example of Core Vocabulary when First Categories is turned OFF.
Note: When Mid-Sequence Categories is turned OFF, you will not have the First Categories as an option.
To change the icon or label of a Mid-Sequence Category:
1. In core, activate the first and/or second icon until you see the icon you wish to change. We selected the APPLE Icon
2. Select the Set-Up key
