How do I Record and Edit a Message in My Pathfinder?
To Store a Recorded Message
1. Decide what you want to say (or do) and the icon sequence you want to use.
2. Select the STATUS key twice on the left of the display.
3. Activate the Store Core key.
4. Select the icon sequence you decided to use. Activate the OK key. NOTE: Your display should show you the icon name followed by (empty) if this sequence has not already been used.
NOTE: You can follow the instructions an the top of the display for directions.
5. Activate the Type of Message key until you see Recorded.
If you want to include written text that will be displayed while your message is spoken, activate Spell Text for Message and type in the text you want to have displayed. Activate OK when you have finished.
6. Press and hold the Record Message option. While you are holding the Record Message option, speak your message into the microphone at the top right corner of the Pathfinder case. Release the Record Message option as soon as you have finished recording.
7. To hear your message before you leave the menu, activate the Listen to Recording option. If the message sounds clear, activate OK to exit. If not, try adjusting the Microphone volume and re-record your message. Make sure you are recording in a quiet room with very little background noise.
8. Select OK to exit out of this menu and try your icon sequence.
To Erase a Message
You cannot edit a recorded message. If you want to change a recorded message, erase it first and then re-record it.
1. Select the STATUS key twice.
2. Activate the Erase Core key in the Toolbox.
3. Select the icon sequence you want to erase.
4. Answer Yes if you want to erase. Answer No if you change your mind.
