How do I Use the File Organizer in my ECO2?

The FILE ORGANIZER menu allows you to copy and move files from one memory device (USB, SD Card, or internal hard drive) to another or move files onto one memory device into folders on the same device. You can also copy and delete files.

Perhaps you use the internal hard drive as a permanent storage area in your device. However, your USB drive or Secure Digital card frequently travels between your device and your computer because you use it to download files from your computer and then put them in your communication aid and vice-versa.

You can also use the FILE ORGANIZER to transfer files from a USB Flash Drive to an SD Card, leaving the SD Card installed in the device, which is safer than having the Flash Drive extending from the device risking damage.

Important Note:  The maximum size for USB Flash Drives is 8GB (may need to be formatted as a FAT 32) and the maximum size for Secure Digital Cards is 2GB for Memory Transfers or playing sound files in PRC Devices. If trying to use a removeable disk larger than recommended, the device may not recognize the disk.

The FILE ORGANIZER MENU allows you to do this.

To Move Files from One Memory Device to Another:

1. Make sure your USB and/or Secure Digital card is plugged into your communication aid.

2. Go to the Toolbox and open the FILE ORGANIZER menu.  File Organizer tool key

NOTE:  If you Delete Files, they are erased from the memory device you select.
