How do I use Icon Tutor in my ECO?
The Icon Tutor helps you to learn the sequences where specific words are stored. It searches for icons associated with the overlay you are currently using.
Using Icon Tutor:
1. In the Toolbox, select the REVIEW VOCABULARY MENU
2. Activate the option, Search Icon Tutor.
3. You see the spelling page. Type in the word you want to search for, e.g., "like" then select OK.
4. The Icon Tutor searches the database of the overlay you are currently using and presents you with all the sequences where the word "like" is used. You can then write down the sequences for later use (or memorize them).
Updating Icon Tutor:
1. If you do a lot of customizing to your vocabulary, you should update Icon Tutor periodically to reflect the addition of new words.
2. In the REVIEW VOCABULARY MENU, select Update Icon Tutor to update.
3. If you use the MTI to load a new vocabulary into your device use the Update Icon Tutor option to add the new vocabulary to the database.
To Update Icon Tutor:
1. You can store the Icon Tutor Tool on your overlay if you wish. When you activate it, you will see your spelling page. Type in the word you are looking for and select OK. An update may take a few minutes. Be patient.
1. Activate the Update Icon Tutor option.
2. You see a box that asks you to please wait.
3. When the update is over, your device will beep.
REMEMBER! If you manually turned Auto-Tutor-Update to Off and then made changes to your vocabulary you must select Update Icon Tutor first to save your changes. Any new searches will now include the updated changes.

Icon-Tutor-on-the-Fly
When this is ON, you can spell a word and find out if it is stored under a sequence in your vocabulary. You must be in Spell mode. Spell a word and activate a space or punctuation mark. If the word is stored in your vocabulary, your device will display the sequence(s) in the Icon/Word Prediction area.
Icon Tutor View Display
Select the amount of seconds you would like to see the sequence displayed (1-10 seconds).
Icon Tutor View Count
Select the number of sequences you would like to see displayed (1-5 sequences).
