Using the Enhanced Color Options in the ECO2.
In order to provide more options for individuals who want to make use of extended color coding, the ECO has the capability to fine tune color choices. A significant change is that the software makes use of the standard Windows Color Picker.
There are a number of different ways of accessing color changing.
Drop-down Menu Color Choices
From the Drop-down Menu, selecting the Colors... option brings up the Properties Sheet for Set Colors.

Workspace Colors: The Workspace is the Text Area of the device. You can change the text color and the background color.
Notebook Colors: The text and background colors for Notebooks can be different from those of the Workspace. This can serve as a good visual reminder to clients that they are using a Notebook.
Marked Text Colors: When you use any sort of highlighting – such as with the BLOCK MARK tool, these are the colors that the text and background change to as the cursor marks them. Marking text in different colors provides visual feedback that marking is happening.
Word Prediction Colors: You can make the word prediction markedly distinct from the Workspace by changing the colors.
Activity Row Background Colors: For those clients who want to make a bigger visual distinction between Core and Activity areas, this is how you can change the background color of the Activity Row.
Mouse Pointer Color: Clients can now choose an infinite number of possible cursor colors for their head-pointing input.
The Windows Color Picker
When you click on any of the buttons in the Color Properties Sheet, you will see the Windows Color Picker.

You can choose from the Basic colors on the left or click anywhere in the palette to get a color. If you use the palette, you can make very fine adjustments to color. You can also save any color you create in the palette as a custom color.
Change Key Color
When you select the Change Key Color button
in any of the storing procedures, you will now see many more default color choices.
These show the effect of choosing the FILL option.

These are examples of what the keys would look like using the OUTLINE option.

The Advanced Colors button brings up an ECO version of the Windows Color Picker.

You need to use the arrow keys to move the pointer across the palette. You can also save a set of custom colors. These will also show up in the My Custom Colors set of the basic color page.
