Expected Daily Battery Life in the ECO2
How much Battery Life should I expect out of my ECO2?
Typical usage is usually around 9 hours although this will vary depending on the use. When the Auto Power Down feature, found in Maintenance Menu, is used and the device is powered down throughout half the day, you should expect around 11 ½ hours of run time.
Battery Life when Surfing the Web?
If you are using accessories such as WiFi or Ethernet to connect to the Internet, expect 8 to 9 hours of battery life.
Battery Life when using ECOpoint?
If you are using ECOpoint while operating a DVD this will drain the batteries quickly, lasting around 4 ½ hours.
When using the Hot Swap Battery Pack with above average usage, expect ECOpoint with DVD operation to increase to 7 hours
When using the ECOpoint with the ECO2 through out the day batteries should last around 5 ½ hours.
When using the Hot Swap Battery Pack and the ECOpoint with the ECO2 through out the day batteries should last around 8 ½ hours.
Battery Life when watching DVDs?
If you are using the DVD and running the CPU at 100% expect batteries to last 6 ½ hours.
When using the Hot Swap Battery Pack with DVD and running the CPU at 100%, expect 9 ½ hours of use.
These times of course will vary depending on what other programs are running and depending on your Backlight brightness (found in Feedback Menu – lower the number the less battery used) and the settings of your Auto Power Down feature (Maintenance Menu)
Swapping Removable Batteries
ECO2 has an internal battery that is never removed from the case. There is also a removable battery behind the Battery Door on the right side of the case. This door has a window in it. You can check on the charge of each battery in the Battery Menu. With normal use of your device you will probably never have to remove the removable battery, but if you find that you are using your device to the extent that you can't keep your removable battery charged long enough for your use, you can purchase a second removable battery and battery charger from PRC.
