How do I Import Photos or Icons using a cable or USB flash disk?

Using a USB flash disk:

1.  In the Systems Menu  select the Transfer Memory Menu on your Pathfinder.

2.  Plug in the Flash Drive that contains your photos.

3.  Select Import Icons in the Transfer Memory Menu.

4.  The name of all the files on the flash drive will be listed.   

Note:  Your photos must have either a BMP, JPG, GIF, or PNG extensions for the Pathfinder to recognize the photo as a valid icon. 

5.  Select the photos you wish to import.  A "Check Mark" will appear in the upper right hand corner of the file name to let you know that the file has been selected.  Select the More Items key  to view additional pictures.  Once all the pictures have been selected, Select the OK key.

6. The Icon Import Menu will appear.
    a) 1. Will ask you if you'd like to Change Icon Name.
    b) 2. Will ask you if you'd like to Maintain Aspect Ratio.
Note: We strongly suggest you leave the "Aspect Ratio" set to YES.      
    c) 3. Will ask you'd if you would like to Import all icons without asking about each one.

7.  A yellow box will appear asking you if you want to Assign all the Icons to the same Category.
    If you select Yes, it will show you all the categories. Select the category to copy Icons to.

8. Your transfer is complete. Select OK to exit out of the Transfer Memory Menu.

Note: The next time you modify a picture you will see a new category called Imports. This is where your imported photos will be found along with any Categories that you selected.

Using a MTI cable:

1.  Connect one end of the MTI cable to the your computer, and the other end to the Pathfinder, (with the picture of the computer).

2. Start the MTI program on your computer.

3. Turn ON the Pathfinder.

4. In the Systems Menu  select the Transfer Memory Menu.

5. Select Import Icons in the Transfer Memory Menu.

6. On your computer locate the folder that contains your photos.

7. Highlight the the photos on your computer that you want to import to your Pathfinder, and then select Open.



Note:
  Your photos must have either a BMP, JPG, GIF, or PNG extensions for the Pathfinder to recognize the photo as a valid icon. 

8. Icon Properties will appear on your computer for each photo you will import. From here you can change the name of your icon and Maintain Aspect Ratio.

10. Your transfer is complete. Select OK to exit out of the Transfer Memory Menu.
