Why won't my Word Prediction Work in my Pathfinder?
If your Word Prediction doesn't work or you are getting an error message that says your Word Prediction Dictionary is corrupted, check the following:
A. Make sure Word Prediction is turned ON.
1. Select your STATUS key twice.
2. Select the WORD PREDICTION menu and make sure option #1 Word Prediction is ON.
B. If Word Prediction is ON and is still not predicting and/or your Pathfinder seems to be running slow:
1. Go back into the WORD PREDICTION MENU and turn Word Prediction OFF. Use your Pathfinder for a few minutes. If your Pathfinder is running normally (not slow), then your Word Prediction Dictionary is corrupted and the default Word Prediction Dictionary will have to be re-loaded.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When you load the default dictionary, anything you have added to your current dictionary will be lost.
C. To load the default Word Prediction Dictionary:
1. Select your STATUS key twice and select the WORD PREDICTION menu.
2. Type P R C on the keyboard. Even though you are in the menu, you can type these three letters on the keyboard.
3. You will see the message "Are you sure you want to load the default Word Prediction Dictionary? Yes or No" Answer "Yes" or #8.
4. When the Dictionary is loaded you will see, "Default Dictionary loaded"
5. Select OK (#8).
6. Select OK (#8) to exit the menu.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Word Prediction will now work, but any customization that was previously added will be lost.
