How do I Recalibrate the Touch Screen on my Pathfinder?
Over time you may notice that the icons and images on the Pathfinder's screen do not speak the correct message for the icon you selected. This is normal with a touch screen and can be easily fixed by recalibrating
Recalibrate a Pathfinder2 Plus with or without CE Apps Software: Version 2.0+ and 3.0+
NOTE: To calibrate, you must activate all the keys from the KEYBOARD. Do not use the display to choose any options or else other options may be selected by accident.
1. With the keyguard and overlay off of the keyboard., turn on the Tools.
2. Select the Maintenance menu from the keyboard (located at F2).
3. Select the # 7 for More Items.
4. Select #3 for Calibrate Touch Screen.
5. With a stylus, a pen cap, or the eraser end of a pencil, press on the cross + and hold for 3 seconds. Lift stylus.
6. The cross will move to the upper left section of the screen. Press and hold the stylus on the cross + again, then release.
7. Repeat this until the cross + has traveled to all five points on the screen (the center and all four corners).
8. If the calibration is successful, you will see a message at the top of the screen that tells you "New Calibration Settings have been measured. Tap the Screen to register saved data."
9. Tap the screen once before 30 seconds expire. If the device recognizes the tap, the screen will return you to the Maintenance menu. Select OK twice to exit.
10. If you did not see the message in step 8, repeat these directions.
Recalibrate a PathFinder with Software Version 1.09
NOTE: Turn the Pathfinder OFF and then back ON. This will save anything that you may have been working on.
1. Press and hold down all 4 keys to the left of the display and then release all 4 keys.
2. With a stylus, a pen cap, or the eraser end of a pencil, press on the cross + and hold for 3 seconds. Lift stylus.
3. The cross + will move to the upper left section of the screen. Press and hold the stylus on the cross + again, then release.
4. Repeat this until the cross + has traveled to all five points on the screen (the center and all four corners).
5. If the calibration is successful, you will see a message at the top of the screen that tells you "New Calibration Settings have been measured. Tap the Screen to register saved data."
6. Tap the screen once before 30 seconds expire. If the device recognizes the tap, the Pathfinder will reset, show the Pathfinder logo and then bring you back up into Minspeak or Spell mode.
7. Now you can continue with communication
8. If you did not see the message in step 5, repeat these directions.
