How do I Connect the PF to the Origin Headmouse?
NOTE: You cannot connect the HeadMouse to a Pathfinder with a MAC (Macintosh computer) cable. Contact the vendor where you purchased your HeadMouse and ask for the IBM cable. An adapter will not work.
Connect the HeadMouse to the Pathfinder
1. Position the HeadMouse receiver on the Pathfinder. (PRC does not supply any type of mounting remedies).
2. Plug the HeadMouse receiver into the Multi-switch port on the Pathfinder. (This port has the picture of the Joystick.)
On the Pathfinder
1. Select the STATUS key twice. (The STATUS key is the third key down on the on the front of the case to the left of the display.)
2. Select the SELECT TECH menu (Selection Technique Menu)
3. Select Selection Technique (option #1) until you see HEADPOINTING.
4. Select OK to exit the menu
Place the reflective dot on your forehead, the frame of your glasses or any movable location on your body. Position yourself so the dot is in direct site of the HeadMouse receiver.
When the HeadMouse is accessing the Pathfinder Toolbox or overlay you will see a moving light. When the Headmouse is accessing the Display area, you will see a hand pointer.
See your Pathfinder manual for adjusting the speed of the mouse, acceptance time, etc.
