Earphones - Turn this option On if you have earphones plugged into the device.

Play Source: AUTO/Playlist/SD Card/USB Disk
This tells your device where to find your songs. Select AUTO for most occasions.

AUTO - Your device will play the current playlist. If no playlist is loaded, it will look for songs on the USB drive or an SD card. If both are plugged into your device, your Pathfinder will play the songs on the device that was plugged in last.

SD Card/USB Disk - Your device will play every song on the SD card or the USB disk.

Playlist - Your communication aid will play the playlist that is currently loaded. If no playlist is loaded, you will hear a beep to remind you to load a Playlist.

Speech Break: Pause/Stop/OFF  - This option controls what happens when you want to speak while a song is playing .

Pause - When you select this option, the music will pause while you speak and resume playing when you have stopped speaking.

Stop - When you select this the music will stop playing altogether. When you have finished speaking, you must go back into the MP3 Player Menu and select Play.

OFF - If you select OFF, you cannot speak while music is playing. Off tells your device, "No speech break."

EQ Volume - This equalizes the volume between different sound files. It will also lower the sound volume when you want to speak while music is playing. This option is independent of your device's speech volume control.

Bass and Treble - These two options allow you to customize the bass and treble sound levels.
