How do I Modify an Activity in a Pathfinder?
Once you have created an activity, you might like to change it in some
way later. Use the Modify Item Within Activity option in the ACTIVITY
menu to change an existing activity.
To Modify an Activity:
1. Go to the Toolbox and open the ACTIVITY menu.
2. Select Modify Activity.
3. Next choose the activity you want to modify. If necessary, activate More Items in the ACTIVITY menu until you see Next Activities or Previous Activities. Select the activity you want to change.
4. You can change the icon or label of the main activity key. You can change its position in the Activity Row. You can hide it (or show it if you have already hidden it). You can also delete the entire activity.
5. If you want to change one of the items within the activity, select the Modify Item within Activity option.
There are many options to choose from. Use the MORE ITEMS key to see them all.
Spell Text for Message: create a message to be spoken
Change Icon and Change Label: select a new icon for your activity or type a new label
Clear Key Contents: erase the contents of a key and start over with an empty key.
Select More Items to see additional options such as:
Add New Row: add a row of keys to the activity.
Delete Current Row: delete the row of keys that is currently displayed.
Previous Row or See Next Row: see what keys are available in various rows of keys; navigate through rows in the activity.
Select More Items to see additional options such as:
Type of Message: Synthesized or Recorded: Synthesized is the voice spoken by the device.
Recorded means messages spoken by someone that are recorded into the device; you must also use Recorded when you import a sound file.
Change Position Move Right or Move Left: move a key one position to the right or left in the row.
Select OK several times to exit and save the changes you made.
