"40 for 40" Program - Where Are They Now?

Graham received a Pathfinder through the PRC “40 for 40” program.
Graham Clarke wrote a note of appreciation for the new Pathfinder he was awarded through the PRC “40 for 40” program:
I would like to THANK YOU all at PRC for such a wonderful gift. Bless you all.
I am still busy tinkering with things and I have to get the Pathfinder mounted on to the wheelchair. I am busy reading the manual on the computer and I will have somebody program certain things into the Pathfinder before I can put it on the wheelchair and do things myself.
It is all exciting, thanks to you all. Yours was certainly a generous gesture, which will return to you at least forty times!
In recent correspondence here is what Graham had to say:
Send to a friendHi there. Yes, all is well. Trust that you are doing well. I emailed PRC a couple of months after I obtained the Pathfinder. I had just left hospital after having my one lung removed and, besides being rather weak, I just couldn't get the new head pointing system to point the way I wanted. My head had also started tilting to the outside where the lung was removed.
I wasn't happy about having the device get the better of me but I couldn't manage. Experts at PRC suggested that I find someone locally that would benefit from the Pathfinder. I spoke to a lady in another province that has a lot to do with devices and AAC and she had a client that needed a device. The device was awarded to her and I believe things are going well.
I am still using the old Liberator! I will be looking for another device once the Liberator stops working but am worried about the pointing system being unsuitable. The device that follows one's eyes has the receiver too low and which will be "hidden" by the wheelchair's chin control.
Otherwise, I have recovered well and live a good life. Just that things are getting a bit slower as I get older. Happens to the best of us, hey!
Go well and God bless. Have a good day.
— Cheers Graham
