Deadlines and Expectations

Deadlines

Proposals will be accepted at any time until late 2010. After that time, the following schedule will apply.

Proposals must be received by these dates in order to be considered for the funding timeframes below:

• February 1 for April 1 grants
• August 1 for October 1 grants

Expectations

The AAC Research Alliance has the following expectations of those requesting its collaboration:

• Researchers will follow best practice research methods.
• When finished, researchers will write and submit a paper describing findings to the AAC Research Alliance. Other data, such as selected video clips, and language samples may also be requested.
• Researchers will write and submit an article for publication or otherwise disseminate the findings and results.
• If no process for Institutuional Reveiw Board (IRB), is in place, the AAC Research Alliance may elect to employ its own (IRB) to examine and insure participant privacy and security.
• The AAC Research Alliance will monitor each project on an ongoing basis tto assure compliance with these expectations.
