Back to Map Andy White M.S., Ed. Andy White earned his BA degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from The University of Southern Maine's Lewiston/Auburn College and completed a MS in Assistive Special Education Technology from Simmons College in Boston. Andy was previously employed at the Margaret Murphy Center for Children as a Special Education teacher and Case Manager in Maine and at Reach for the Stars Learning Center for Children with Autism in Brooklyn, NY. In both these positions Andy worked with children 2-12 diagnosed with autism and other development disabilities through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis, Natural Environment Teaching, and Verbal Behavior and AAC. Andy has served families with children with special needs for over 6 years using various low to high-tech devices. Daniel Mills, M. Ed. Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, and has both the M. Ed degree and an Instructional II Certification in Special Education from Millersville State University in PA. He taught a secondary Learning Support Class in Maine for 4 years, followed by a 5 year stint as an administrator for a foster care agency in Pennsylvania. The bulk of Dan's experience consists of 20 years as a teacher in a Physical Support class for Colonial Intermediate Unit 20, in PA. He was the leader of a trans-disciplinary team, ensuring that all necessary services were coordinated and focused to address students' Individual Education Program (IEP). Assistive technology (including speech generating devices) played a major role in helping students communicate, learn and access their environment more independently with use of a variety of assistive technologies. Dan has had much experience with an array of AT and AAC equipment during his years in the classroom. He eagerly awaits opportunities to provide training and technical support to clinicians, teachers, families and device users.

David Kay, M.Ed., OTR David earned his Master's degree in Special Education Assistive Technology from the George Mason University in 2003. He has provided consultation services to school systems through a state assistive technology project for students with technology needs, including those with speech related disabilities. David is also a registered occupational therapist, and has been practicing since receiving his degree from the University of Florida in 1997. He has worked as a clinician in acute care, rehabilitation and outpatient settings with children and adults with moderate to severe cognitive, neurologic and physical disabilities. Just before joining PRC in 2006, David was providing assistive technology assessment and support services to Federal government disability resource centers in Washington, D.C. He completed a Master of Arts Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh and holds a M.S. in school psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. Ken was employed by Pittsburgh Public Schools as a Speech and Language Specialist for over 35 years. This position permitted him to meet the communicative needs of Pittsburgh Public Schools children in regular education, centered based schools, and in inclusive settings. For five years he served as an assistive technology consultant. His responsibilities were to provide service to a variety of children with disabilities who use speech generating devices and other assistive technology. He was responsible for the evaluation and development of communication options for children ages 3 -21. Ken has experience providing training and technical support to clinicians, teachers, and families of device users. Ken has always had an interest in supporting children with disabilities with literacy and in assisting them in being successful in the academic curriculum. He has a private practice devoted to providing augmentative communication to adults. Ken is on the Board of Governors for the Masonic Learning Center for children. Their fundamental purpose is to provide, free of charge, professional reading and written language instruction to children and young adults with dyslexia.
