WOOSTER, OHIO – November 5, 2010 – PRC (Prentke Romich Company), makers of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, is offering signed copies of the book “Year Of Our Lord,” plus a meet and greet with the author, at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) conference this month.
A book signing with the author, T.R. Pearson, and free copies of the book will be available at PRC's booth #909 on Thursday, November 18, 2pm to 4pm and Friday, November 19, 10am until noon. “Year Of Our Lord” tells the inspirational true story of a boy without the ability to speak due to cerebral palsy, yet he sings in the church choir. PRC is honored to be his AAC device of choice and be part of his story.
About The Book
Written by T.R. Pearson and photographed by Langdon Clay, “Year Of Our Lord: Faith Hope, And Harmony In The Mississippi Delta” follows the story of Lucas McCarty. He is the only white congregant in the African-American Trinity House of Prayer Holiness church. Lucas is without the ability to speak due to cerebral palsy, yet he sings there in the church choir. “Year of Our Lord” is a portrait of courage, acceptance and grace, rendered in the lyrical prose of T.R. Pearson and the haunting photographs of Langdon Clay.
