Features information and tools for adults, children, caregivers, and professionals using AAC Devices

WOOSTER, OHIO – October 28, 2010 – PRC (Prentke Romich Company), makers of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, has launched a more user-friendly and informative website at prentrom.com to help those with speech and communications challenges.

“We are pleased to introduce a more comprehensive and easier-to-use website that provides information tailored for each of our audiences,” says Jo Donofrio, PRC’s Director of Marketing. “It’s part of our commitment to continually improve PRC’s service to the AAC community.”

In addition to an updated graphic design, the site provides simpler navigation to make information easy to locate. Sections are designed for each type of visitor: adults, children, caregivers, and professionals.

Because many people are looking online for answers to speech challenges that come with disorders such as autism, cerebral palsy, and stroke, the PRC website now features a new section entitled “What Is AAC?” This section is designed for people unfamiliar with AAC who are seeking to educate themselves.

For those further along in the learning process, the site also includes detailed information about the company’s line of AAC devices, including product specifications, in-depth training advice, and real life stories from people who use each product. Visitors are able to get a well-rounded understanding of the products and their real-world benefits.

To simplify the funding process for users, the website includes an instructional video and detailed information about the funding process. The site also offers online tools including a “Funding Submission Assistant,” as well as a “form finder” to locate necessary forms by state.

Users can also use the website to locate product training courses and consultants in their area, and participate in E-Training courses online.
