PRC Introduces Spanish Bilingual Release for Vantage™ Lite and Vanguard Plus
New communication software assists Spanish-speaking individuals with speech impairments
Wooster, OH, February 14, 2011 – Prentke Romich Company (PRC), the leading manufacturer of alternative and augmented communication (AAC) devices for individuals with speech disabilities, today announced the release of Spanish bilingual software for their Vantage Lite and Vanguard Plus communication devices. This software enables Spanish-speaking individuals with speech impairments to communicate in both Spanish and English.
This new product release offers:
- Bilingual Capabilities: Using similar keys and learned sequences, users can communicate either in Spanish or English at home, work, and school.
- Dedicated Spanish Support: Both the bilingual Vantage Lite and Vanguard Plus are fully supported in Spanish— manuals are provided in both languages and bilingual phone support is available to users, clinicians, and family members.
- Easy Access to Spanish and English: User can switch between the two languages with the press of a button.
The features in the Vanguard Plus and Vantage Lite enable rich, independent communication through PRC’s proven Unity® language system, which allows users to progress from simple words and phrases to novel and spontaneous communication. Both devices offer the same expanded Unity Toolset features making it easy to build vocabulary, while 4-, 8-, 15-, 45-, 60- and 84-location display options allow communication capacity to grow along with the user’s abilities.
