Are you the parent or primary caregiver of a teen or young adult who uses a speech generating device (SGD)? Would you like to contribute to research at Northwestern University on social skills in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) users?
If your child is 1) 16-21 years of age, 2) uses a speech generating device with dynamic display and synthetic speech such as the DynaVox (3100, MT4/DV4, V/VMax), Vantage, Vanguard, ECO, Mercury or another similar device, 3) uses direct selection (i.e., physically touches an item, point to or press a button on the SGD) and 4) has used his/her system for at least six months you may be eligible to participate in a one-time-only online survey that takes 15-30 minutes to complete.
