Celebrating 45 Years of Communication Success

PRC is proud to be celebrating 45 years of serving children and adults with communication-related disabilities. To mark our anniversary, we took a look back at some of our "40 for 40" winners to learn how receiving a PRC device changed their lives during the last five years.
In 2006, to mark our 40th anniversary as a worldwide leader in the field of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, PRC announced a unique "40 for 40" program designed to honor the individuals we serve. Through this international program, we awarded 40 of our industry-leading, speech-generating devices to individuals who lacked funding assistance and would not otherwise be able to obtain a communication device. Now, five years later, we are highlighting the success stories of a few of these forty individuals and taking a look at where they are now. Stories will be added throughout the balance of 2011.
