She graduated from Edinboro University where she obtained her degree in Specialized Studies with concentrations in Special Education and Writing. Jennifer is a leader in the field of AAC. She is a proficient user of the system and can explain with over 20 years of experience what the ups and downs are of living while using an AAC device. Jennifer's communication aid, a DeltaTalker, plays a major role in communicating both the intentions of SHOUT's mission, the study of and advocacy for employment of people who rely on AAC, and how proficiency of language-based voice output communication aid can lead to employment, socialization, and independent living. Jennifer’s goals each year are to raise funds for SHOUT for the Pittsburgh Employment Conference. Each year for the past three conferences, she has been successful by meeting with philanthropic groups in Pittsburgh, going to conferences and speaking about PEC, and meeting with university and private individuals. Jennifer enjoys traveling, reading, instant messaging on the internet and working puzzles on the internet. She has also supported Dr. Katya Hill and the AAC Institute in evidence-based practice lectures. Submitted by: Robert Conti Secretary/Treasurer of SHOUT
