On-Call AAC Educator

The primary responsibility of the On-Call AAC Educator is to market and promote appropriate placement of PRC products. The On-Call AAC Educator provides educational opportunities for persons considering PRC products for purchase. These educational opportunities take place within a given territory or in coordination with a PRC Regional Consultant. In addition, the On-Call Educator provides ideas and support for implementation of devices in educational and other settings. PRC shall be represented by the AAC Educator on an “as-needed” basis in settings which include professional presentations, exhibits, consultations and other activities as requested. The On-Call Educator is expected to uphold the PRC mission, method and manner, and strives to enhance corporate profitability, complying with applicable codes of ethics.

While the On-Call AAC Educator works extensively with the team and family, the end user is only sometimes present at appointments and always in the presence of a family or team member.

On-Call AAC Educator responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating PRC devices to interested individuals
  • Marketing PRC products and services with the expectation of device placement
  • Providing pre-and post purchase support and training for devices and ## Unity software
  • Developing and managing territory
  • Complying with company policies and procedures
  • other duties as assigned

On-Call AAC Educator qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Special Education or related field required
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Special Education or related field preferred
  • Clinical experience with PRC communication products desirable
  • Basic experience using a computer and knowledge of computer functions
  • Relevant license or certification preferred
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent presentation skills to large and small groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to adjust to sometimes rapidly changing circumstances
  • Position requires some overnight travel
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver’s license and Certificate of Insurance
