Sandra Oaxaca of Albuquerque, NM

Sandra is an outgoing teenager who is eager to interact with others.  Due to her cerebral palsy, she is unable to use her speech to communicate.  However, with the support of her Vanguard communication aid, a few manual signs, and incredible facial expressions, she is able to effectively communicate with others.

Sandra is the daughter of Sandra and Joel Oaxaca.  Sandra has medical diagnoses of cerebral palsy, visual impairment (no vision in one eye; limited vision in the other), and development delay.

She received a Vanguard Plus through the “40 for 40” Program.
