Mariela Pacheco-Gonzalez PRC awarded a Vantage Plus to Mariela Pacheco-Gonzales, a seven-year-old student at Wea Ridge Middle School who has a diagnosis of a hearing impairment and communication disorder and is unable to communicate verbally. PRC Consulting Specialist, Sarah Wilds, presented the gift to Mariela on December 5, 2006 at Wea Elementary School in Lafayette. A reception for Mariela's family and school/therapy team followed the presentation.
"We have always measured our success on the success of our clients in achieving maximum independent communication," explains PRC President Dave Moffatt. "That's why we are focusing our anniversary celebrations around those individuals who rely on PRC's AAC devices to experience the freedom of spontaneous, independent, and interactive communication. We are very pleased to be able to present Mariela with this device."
