Maria is an eight-year-old girl with a diagnosis of developmental delay, dyspraxia. Maria attends San Cayetano Elementary School where she is making progress in writing and other skills. She spends half her day in a second grade classroom where she is really loved. In her free time she enjoys going to Girl Scout meetings and being around her family. Her new Vantage will significantly improve her communication skills in all aspects of her life.

Maria was awarded a PRC Vantage in December 2006 as part of the "40 for 40" program.
