Meet Some of the Recipients About PRC's 40 for 40 Program

In January 2006, to mark its 40th year as a worldwide leader in the field of augmentative and assistive communication (AAC) technology, PRC launched the "40 for 40" Program, a unique, year-long initiative designed to benefit the individuals PRC serves: children and adults with communication-related disabilities.

Through the "40 for 40" Program, PRC committed to donating 40 of its industry-leading speech-output devices to individuals worldwide who lack funding-assistance options and would not otherwise be able to obtain a communication aid such as PRC's SpringBoardTM, VantageTM, VanguardTM, and PathfinderTM.

Recipients receive the device recommended for them by the speech/language professional who conducted the speech/language evaluation required for consideration. All awarded devices are new, not refurbished units, and switches, mounts, and all other accessories or access aids necessary for the effective use of the device are included in the award program, along with a standard one-year warranty.
